Membership

Mastic Beach Conservancy is a non-profit, community-led organization striving to improve and protect our waterfront’s environmental health while making it possible for residents and others to experience the area’s incredible natural beauty. Membership in the Conservancy is open to all and demonstrates a welcome level of commitment and support to our organization. It also provides access to our members-only events and discounts at any ticketed events throughout the year.

With your tax-deductible donation, all membership levels include the following:
— Quarterly members’ newsletter
— Advance notice to ticketed events
— Discounted tickets to MBC events
— Invitation to members-only events
— One year membership (from date of transaction)

(All promotional merchandise can be collected at any in-person meeting or event.)

Community Membership (Free)

We offer free memberships to anyone in our local community. Requirements are as follows:
— You must be a resident of Mastic, Mastic Beach or Shirley
— Volunteer at one clean-up and one other event per year
— Available as a junior membership to high school students seeking community service
— Available to Seniors 62+ who are residents (not required to attend clean-ups)

Donate

Join us in our commitment to conserving, protecting and maintaining the Mastic Beach waterfront! Your tax deductible donation will help us reach our many goals:

— The creation and completion of Blue & Green nature trails along 6 ½ miles of waterfront in Mastic Beach.

— Community and youth education to encourage study and understanding of the wetlands.
— Advocacy to increase access to parks and nature for residents.

— Development of an Ecology and Arts Community Center at Violets Cove.

— Aquafarming, including oyster, kelp and eelgrass seeding for the health of local waterways and community education.

— Regular cleanups throughout the year.

— Collaboration with various community, local, county, and national groups on conservation, education and community activation.
